William Shakespeare and love. Looking for Shakespeare’s links with Italy. We will bring you to Verona, where your local guide awaits you for a 2-hour private tour.
Verona is a medieval village, a journey to discover the hometown, theater of the most famous characters of Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet.
We will start from Juliet’s house, one of the most visited places in the city. From the small courtyard it is possible to admire the famous balcony and the bronze statue of Juliet. Legend has it that touching the statue brings luck in love to young couples. Inside a small museum with period furniture and representations and engravings of Romeo and Juliet.
You will also see the Scaliger arches, place where Juliet thought of her fiction of death. Not far away we will see Romeo’s house from the outside, a sort of urban castle, a sign of the importance that the family had at the time.
You can also see the famous places, the scene of famous quarrels between rival families, between Capulets and Montecchi.
Your guide will then take you to Piazza Bra near the Arena. Near the Portoni della Bra we find the bronze bust of Williams Shakespeare.
Once finished you will leave for the beautiful Lake Garda surrounded by pretty villages overlooking the lake with breathtaking views.
Once there your assistant will suggest you some locations where you can have lunch and do shopping.
