The tour departs from Rome, where your personal driver and assistant will pick you up at your hotel. The first city we will visit is Orvieto, a beautiful Umbrian city that truly leaves the visitor who sees it for the first time speechless. Orvieto is an unexpected and surprising discovery, a medieval town on a tuff cliff with overhanging walls, a concentration of artistic and landscape beauties.
Once there we will visit the famous St. Patrick’s well and the imposing cathedral with its beautiful Romanesque Gothic facade.
Starting from Orvieto, we move to a 17th century estate for an excellent wine tasting and moments of relaxation in the midst of nature.
The next stop will be in another wonderful medieval village, Narnia, with its fantastic undergrounds to which the writer C.S. Lewis took inspiration and narrated a series of novels that were published in Italy under the title of the famous film The Chronicles of Narnia.
We will visit the fascinating undergrounds of Narni which were used as a Tribunal of the Inquisition: in fact the Holy Office had a seat in the Narni Underground, used to interrogate the unfortunate ‘heretics’ or presumed such, We will also see a torture chamber also intact and imprisonment.
At the end of the tour our driver will take you back to Rome
